HTDNCC (Hooyo To Displaced Newcomers Centre) is a registered non-profit organization based in Edmonton, dedicated to providing compassionate, culturally respectful support for displaced newcomers, seniors, and families. We bridge gaps between settlement and wellbeing.

From personalized home care to integration programs, our mission is to foster independence, dignity, and meaningful connections. We are building subsidized care programs through local partnerships and grants, ensuring access for all.

Holistic support from settlement to home care — designed for displaced newcomers and seniors.

👵 Senior Citizen Program

Dedicated culturally-sensitive support for elderly newcomers: companionship, personal care, medication reminders, social engagement, and wellbeing checks. Promoting active aging with dignity.

🏠 Compassionate Home Care

Bathing, grooming, light housekeeping, meal prep, errands, and respite care. Flexible short-notice schedules, trusted caregivers. Now accepting private clients.

🌍 Settlement & Integration

Information & referrals, housing navigation, school enrollment, cultural orientation, and community connections — empowering newcomers from day one.

💼 Employment & Language Support

Job readiness workshops, ESL conversation circles, resume building, and mentorship. Building pathways to financial independence.

🌟 Youth Empowerment & Belonging

After-school mentorship, leadership camps, intercultural activities, and family counselling to create strong community ties.

🕊️ Respite for Family Caregivers

Need a break? We provide short-term relief so family caregivers can recharge while your loved one receives quality, compassionate care.
